Around the world and washed up on the shores of Rainbow Bay, Australia.
From Nordic summers to life between land and sea.
How it all started
Nordic Drifter began in Rainbow Bay, Coolangatta, Australia in 2019.
Founder, Lisa had been working as a photographer for other brands and after falling in love with all the local surf spots and community in Rainbow Bay she decided to start her own brand.
Back then there was swimwear, the occasional black rashie, and wetsuits. But cute suits and crops? And unique prints in the surf? It was pretty much non-existent!
Founder Lisa had the idea to re create her favourite black body suit, and bring vintage inspired prints into the ocean!
Together with a local pattern maker she came up with the very first piece the Stockholm Suit, designed to be worn from land to sea.
Inspired by the carefree fun loving girls straight from the surf to sunhouse.
Hand drawn prints inspired by real flowers on recycled fabrics.
Today, Nordic Drifter has branched out far beyond that first Stockholm Suit.
Our signature boy leg one pieces are designed to move effortlessly from land to sea, while newer styles like the Farmor take the idea even further - from walking, yoga and pilates to swimming and surfing.
Along the way came Little Drifters, our kids collection, followed by Mini + Me matching pieces - bringing the same nostalgic prints, playful spirit and love of the water to the little drifters too.
What began in Rainbow Bay is now worn and stocked in stores around the world.
Made to move with you.
Nordic Drifter is more than swimwear. It's pieces designed for long coastal days, slow mornings and salt tangled hair.
From Nordic summers to Australian shores - we're just getting started.
